Not sure how clear this Upstate photo came out (Southern Tier). The old double snow plow going down the Interstate blocking any passing with line up of vehicles behind them.

    Cuomo’s saying 10% capacity for venues over 10,000 (I think) starting 2/23

Lol. Following that setup over Chautauqua Lake in a blizzard at night is one of the more terrifying upstate driving experiences you can have.

    Would not recommend.

I’m supposed to be up there later in the summer. We’ll see if Cuomo is still around by then I guess and if those #s hold. Thanks.

There’s one in Rockland County still. Does that solve the question of our upstate/downstate status?

Ha! We have a new metric to work with

Most of the OTB's closed last year, the buildings are emptied out and up for rent here. I think that NYC is majority owner, or something like that, of OTB and they're pretty desperate for revenue now so if there's any hope of resurrecting it they will.

Aww, pain in the ass, my wife's ankle is pretty fkd up and she has to go get cut, diced, plated and screwed next week. More snow and ice tomorrow, her dad has to come here for a medical eval next Wednesday so we can move him to the new place two or three days after her surgery... I'm gonna melt down here a few times if that's ok with y'all. Bring weed

Some day you'll look back on all this and laugh.

Hopefully not so hysterically that someone feels a need to slap you.

Don't blink. Hunt Hollow. Seriously though, it's public on weekdays and it's hard to beat the cozy lodge where people leave their personal stuff out in the open, dads are grilling burgers and tiny groms ride the lifts solo. What it lacks in terrain it makes up for in character.

Resident stick chaser in the ski-in-ski out halfway up the slopes met us for some turns. The little bastard was poaching the corduroy pretty hard.

good parking there, uphill of the lift makes for easy ski in&out beer breaks at the car.

Accidental sunshine and OTB references for the dual win.

Gravity beat or luck with surgery.

New topic: lowest vert of any upstate ski area? Snow Ridge?
