Pointing out that this is how Upstate rolls. Even though it was probably 50 deg, you need a "fuck it" attitude and just get it done. Dry suit? Pffft! Shake-dry coat is more like it.

Dry suits are expensive. Plus they’re clammy as hell so I don’t want to buy one used.

ok so where is the southern line of the Utica club zone? I see where you are there - is it on shelves in your region?

Traditionally the line is much further north but they have been trying to expand the last few years based on the hipster PBR/retro beer phenomenon. I buy mine when I’m in the Albany area, which is frequently.
