If you're lucky enough to find yourself at the original Nick Tahou's on Main on a Tuesday evening, you'll get a free car jacking with every purchase.

Duplicated all around the county. This is the menu at Fairport hots (a suburb). White hot on a garbage plate is peak ROC btw.

My father worked for Mohawk in Utica. He was a mechanic.
I've spent most of my life skiing and fly fishing. The rest I have just wasted.

So, the Drowned Lands is an interesting zone. I've never seen soil so black! I know I got those beers from the brewery named after the zone, now I must go see the place. There are actually a bunch of breweries and taphouses with some interesting looking local farm kind of restaurants. The soil though, damn.

That’s the only time of day I’ve ever been to Tahou’s real deal location. And you’re a pussy if you get the Mac salad.

Pretty sure I’ve ridden at that spot in Victor before, long time ago tho. Is Tryon Park still a thing?

Fairport Hots is grease smothered nostalgia. I don’t think I’ve been back since I painted the bathroom with Blue Light

The power outage map for Upstate yesterday afternoon still shows most of the quadrant between Binghamton > Syracuse and east through the Catskills to about Rt 32 bounded by 17 on the south and US 20 to the north. I still haven't been able to get in touch with a few of my customers.

Sorry to drift from your original question. But any low hanging fruit around Lititz for riding? Wife’s family is from Lancaster and we visit a lot in summer. Still getting my bearings of the area. Some nice hikes around Sus river

I spent the weekend in Chicago attending a wedding and ended up seated between a guy from PA and my BIL and wouldn’t you know it the upstate question came up. I was pretty disappointed that my BIL thought 90 was the natural divider. Don’t worry though. I straightened that shit right out.

Saturday morning I went to the zoo.

If you are looking for a few different mountain biking days- then Ellicottville for a day would be a start. Hit the town after for some food and entertainment at the many bars, restaurants and Eville Brewpub.

Not too far from there is also Alleghany National Forest. Jakes Rocks is in northwestern Pennsylvania part of the Alleghany National Forest maybe an hour to hour and 15 minutes away and could easily be another venue to hit for mountain biking trails. There also is Allegany (NY) State Park) half way between those 2 which again would be some trails you could consider also. https://wnymba.org/trails/

    Chiavettas, a WNY standard.

Group up on it, but got some last year and found it salty. I guess I've gone over to the Luppos chicken marinade side of the fence after living in the Cap District for most of my adult life.

Maybe not totally, there's a boring bike shop, a gift shop, a chainsaw woodcarver guy and a bar but that's about it.
Alibaba for excellent Turkish food in troy. It is a hidden gem. Go for the food NOT the ambiance.

    UC at the Chicago Zoo?

I’m impressed. What did the Bears think about it?

Me and my son road-tripped it so it was Upstate sourced inventory and it was actually the Lincoln Park zoo so it was more like just having a beer in a park. If I’d gotten a couple into Wrigley it would have been more impressive but I know my limitations.

I like the sounds of this. Sort of a challenge: see what places you can take a pic of yourself enjoying some Upstate sweetwater.

I’m in. I feel like an underdog with M2711C in the running but I will endeavor to heed his advice and swing for the fence from now on. Is there enough metal in a beer can to set off a metal detector?
