This is so simple. City is moving north at a very fast rate. Eating up the UC.

@Bmills the fog here was insane all day yesterday, lifted for a while but only about 50 feet off the valleys floors. It looks like it was pretty bad where there's snow

While the city is sorta moving north the boundary is still holding where it has been but as taxes go up the tarp line has gaps in it.

Temp is coming down now and the fog is lifting out. That snow ought to be good and firm by the morning

its nice to have the cold back…. 0°, no wind, clear sky, and low humidity makes for a very productive evening on the hill.

Our on the spot reporter has a fresh write up https://nyskiblog.com/west-mountain-new-years-eve-2021/ I haven't been to West Mt since 1985 but with the Indy Pass in our pockets now it's back on the hit list. I'm kind of thinking of doing a loop with West, Titus and Snow Ridge when the snow is right but I don't know if we can pull off a 6 day trip.

I've spent most of my life skiing and fly fishing. The rest I have just wasted.

Thanks, GL. I wanted to headline that one “Desperation!” but Harv likes to keep his blog titles positive. I’m another one of those guys that just drove past West for years and years until I gave it a try last winter. It doesn’t suck.

Shit. Hopefully maybe you'll do that in 22-23 too and I'll meet you at Titus. I'm not feeling it this year.

It is kind of the middle of nowhere, especially in the winter. It's a good thing that Big Tupper is gone because that place was pretty much in never never land an hour from nowhere. The skiing was fucking awesome though! Those trees were sublime. If we get to VT with the Indy passes I'll honk at you when we go by as we head for Bolton and Jay.

You need to drop me a PM if you're headed to Jay I'm probably not skiing this year. Next year. And I'm serious about Titus, Jay too, once I get back in the swing of things.

    Hmmmm
Is UC naturally this in touch with their customer base? Or should we be taking credit for something?
