But due to this unfortunate incident we've determined Liberty is the upstate. We now know that the line is somewhere between Monticello and Middletown.

I think Orange County was already included because it has a ski area.

I lived in Goshen in the 70s. Iím not sure if thereís still dairy farms there but there were back then. We had a stray cow in our front yard more then once. To me thatís upstate.

Maybe in 1970. They replaced the farms with a Legoland.

Jeez. I don't recall anyone having advocated that upstate is that far north. I think Binghamton came into play on Eastern vs Central NY. The article refers to Liberty as upstate even.

Maybe this is the ďupstate starts someplace north of meĒ phenomenon. Skidog, you from Binghamton originally?

Has upstate become FL now? I think it was a good plan but executed poorly.

Yeah, Binghamton is not the upstate/downstate dividing line.

Right? Speaking as a landlord, if you want to get rid of tenants, tying them up and dumping them somewhere ain't going to get the job done.

I've done that with squirrels. I had a couple that kept eating through the garbage can lids. We went on a little trip to the park about 5 miles away and I released them under a redtail hawk's nest.

My FIL, God rest his soul, used to trap them, paint their tails and release them on the other side of the Genesee river from 19th Ward near the golf course in Genesee valley park. He was a scientist and didn't even know it. Can't say he ever saw one of those fuckers return.
