Hard to confuse a 1000 or whatever vertical Greek Peak has and the 350 feet of vertical Peek N' Peak has for it's terrain. Both have Peak in their name, though....

Greek is definitely CNY- closer to the 'Cuse than Rochester or Buffalo. 4 hours from the Western NY border roughly via vehicle and Eastern NY closer to 6 hours and more by driving...

West Mountain- that is in the East- nothing Western (NY) about that... Need a summit in the CNY area- Greek or one of the ones around CUSE- Song Mountain, Labrador, etc.

Thanks for the opportunity Bmills. I'm a fastfred fan and always look forward to his posts on various subjects.

Rather than distill the post down, I suggest you look at a fastfred post the same way someone would look at a painting from Renoir, Monet or any one of the Impressionist masters. Don't be overly distracted by the literary brushstrokes (in this case, the run on sentences caused by the lack of punctuation) but step back, squint if you have to, and view it in it's entirety.

I'd venture to say she's never been to Londonderry, VT, but this is heartwarming.

Truth told, I was never a Syracuse fan, but I did like Skaneateles the few times I visited.

My guess is she didn't give off a strong enough "local" vibe. That carries a lot of weight in VT as to how you are treated.

Upstate NY is more welcoming of strangers.

Do they have those bumper stickers in Londonderry like they do in Summit County that say “Native”?

Can you get a pop anywhere in NY?

This may be the test if you are unsure of your location being in New York or Ohio

Well, I admit, I do like a deep dish pizza once every ten years or so, and that’s actually a casserole.
