That picture is about 15 +/- 5 years old. It looked familiar and I had to look it up, it was renovated after a fire, was reopened and since closed again. As I recall it was a go to place -- post renovation -- after a round of golf at a nearby course.

Look me in the eye and tell me you can’t see Jack try and dribble off Diane’s Bobby Brooks jeans under that hanging HVAC eve.

    Still upstate as fuck.

It's like seeing your uncle showered and sporting a fresh haircut wearing a clean jacket and pants at Sally's wedding.

Anytime the uncle is wearing pants is an improvement.

Dry humping in a dark corner of an upstate bar parking lot? Sure, gotta keep the upstate culture going.

He actually spends most of his time on Daufuskie Island off HHI these days. I’ll see him in Beaufort every now and then.

    He seems... prickly.

Have been by it but never stopped in. They have a nice outdoor patio where you can see a few blocks of downtown Buffalo.

It is three blocks from Chef's, a well known Italian-American place that is worth a visit. Think 40 years of pictures on the wall's -- people shaking hands with one or other generation of the owners, red and white checkerboard tablecloths, bread and oil before, during and after the meal. Go there on an empty stomach. If you order anything pasta you're supposed to say "parm it", meaning you want them to throw a shit-ton of parmesan cheese on the pasta and bake it till the cheese melts. It's actually pretty good. It's a WNY thing.

You should be kicked out of the thread for your lack of knowledge of the most basic things like parm.

But check the toilet bowl high on the wall that has one of the old chain pulls. Most likely a pistol stashed up there.

and after only a mere six years of "planning", the driveway replacement project has commenced. they had our guys install the french drain first, and then proceeded to rip it right out again with the grinder. all part of the "planning', apparently.

of course, the price went up in the meantime, so we're only gonna get half the job done now and do the rest "soon".
