    Looks like Upstate won the weather game today, 13" in Binghamton and more in the hills. What did some of our CNY posters end up with?

    National news this morning was all over the snowbelt from Cleveland to 'Cuse.

    The locals looked less enthusiastic about the late-April blizzard while the reporters gawped on.

    Power was out, might still be out so none of them reopened. I don't think the Tug got as much as south

    A buddy's parents live in Watertown. His dad said the Tug, and western NY is the biggest waste of snow on the planet. He goes out of NY to ski.

    True. Hey I didn't come up with it. And while I do see buddy's dad's point, your point is equally valid

    So it sounds like Binghamton and the CNY hill country got pretty beat up from the recent storm. I talked to a customer there and he just got power back this afternoon and a bunch of areas are still under a state of emergency. Sounds messy but that's what a foot of snow does as things are trying to leaf out.

    MTB riding in/near Ellicottville? Worth adding into a road trip from Maine to PA? Gotta visit the outlaws in Lititz, PA so trying to make it work for me, isn’t that what’s most important?

    If you are heading from Maine to Lititz, PA that is quite a bit of a detour to go by the way of Western NY. That is basically Eastern PA and you would be heading west from Corning area to get over to Ellicottville. Not saying there is not good mountain biking in and around Holiday Valley and Ellicottville but probably would be 6 hours out of your way going from Lititz, PA to Ellicottville. Or from Maine you would probably hit the I 90 and go west most of the way on the NY State Thurway to Buffalo and head south from there to hit Eville. Easily 2 full days of driving - but of course could break it up with a stay over.

    The Official Argue About Where Upstate NY Is Thread

    We’re making a road trip in the van out of it, not looking to do an out and back to Lititz. Probably would visit some peeps in Roch and the GF has never even seen a garbage plate

    Well then, E’ville is lovely any time of year. I say go for it. Maybe even truck on over to Chautauqua while you’re in the neighborhood.

    if you're really looking for legit mountain biking, go to Windham.

    ROC has a couple of fun little parks. This one is some good, clean fun;

    edit: have to respect anyone that travels across the state for a garbage plate. That's priorities right there.
