ha right see I've just become accustomed to it by now.... But, similar to most affairs of the upstate, it's a long story.

I found myself in CNY again this weekend. After making a deal on a used tandem kayak, I stopped at this place for a brisket sandwich

Like a lot of similar establishments, they had lots of seating set up outside. It looks like it would be a cool place to hang out on a Saturday night.

Of course if you zoom, you find that you’re hanging out next to the neighbor’s used tire pile.

"Moravia was long known as the last bastion of the Whigs, the defunct political party of native Moravian ex-U.S. president Millard Fillmore." Whigs were the crazy libs of the day.

Not a pit bull, but our new and only next door neighbor kept his cage crazy Rottweiler a on a chain in the front yard. We moved. I know those people.

No way. That’s just called gettin it done. If it was on a XJ on 35s at Whole Foods with nary a scratch on the boat you may have a point.

Anyway, this came across the feed today and while not actually in the Upstate, I guarantee this is an Upstate experience for at least one person every year.

“Fillmore” being a beer in a bar in Moravia in upstate should have been in that Simpsons episode. If it wasn’t. It may have been. Not sure I’ve seen it sober.

The story about Dennis above makes me laugh, but also makes me vaguely homesick.

Pointing out that this is how Upstate rolls. Even though it was probably 50 deg, you need a "fuck it" attitude and just get it done. Dry suit? Pffft! Shake-dry coat is more like it.
