Growing up in a suburb of the ROC, my family were members of a little ski club called Ski Valley. One chairlift, one T-bar, about a dozen trials and a cute little lodge. Even had a run called Yodeler. Spent many, many days lapping the place. Loved it. I mean ... I LOVED IT! Still remember the day I skied the lift line from the top without falling. These are the things that make a life I tell ya.
However, it closed down at least 15 years ago and became overgrown and broken down. Until some dude buys it a couple of years ago and keeps it all for himself. Went by it on my bike ride today.

Today
Brother built a cool little shack for his own hill.
And he's got a little fleet of groomers. No idea if the T-bar is functional. The chairlift is DEFINITELY not functional.
Now he just needs some snow making and he's set.

Honestly, why not? He looks like he’d fit right in. No gloves, heater.
Correct disposition.

Didn’t make it to Thirstys much (more of a JD Oxfords guy) , but my college did host a happy hour there before graduation.
Got so fucked up that I tried to walk back to my city apartment, by way of the canal and river, in a downpour. Good times

Couple: Man has tossed used cups in their yard for 3 years
Sun, April 18, 2021, 7:41 PM
LAKE VIEW, N.Y. (AP) — An upstate New York couple may have finally solved the mystery of who's been tossing used coffee cups in their front yard for nearly three years.
Edward and Cheryl Patton told The Buffalo News they tried mounting a camera in a tree in front of their home in Lake View to catch the phantom litterer. But it wasn’t until some neighbors got involved recently and followed a minivan and jotted down its license plate number that there was a break in the case.
After Edward Patton called police, they waited and pulled over a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Larry Pope, who Cheryl Patton said had once worked with her and had had disagreements with her over union issues.
Pope was charged with harassment and ticketed for throwing refuse onto a roadway.
“I found it very hard to believe that someone I knew would do something like that, especially at his age,” Cheryl Patton told The News.
The Pattons said the littering has stopped since Pope was pulled over.
A message was left at a phone number listed for Pope on Sunday.
