fuck that shit. the garbage plate only makes sense if it’s being done in the true sense. pulling the overcooked shit off the back of the grill and piling it on your plate instead of throwing it in the fucking garbage.....otherwise it’s just a fucking gimmick.

you want some good eats in the roc? going over to Harry’s deli and get yourself a charise. much better than a ruben and beats that garbage plate bullshit hands down. i tell you what.

The only Charise I’m familiar with was Uncle Buck’s girlfriend at the tire store.

    That sandwich looks legit though.

Chanice. But the sandwich still looks good even if it's a charice.

If we're putting lunch orders in, I'll take a beef on weck with horsey sauce from the Lakehouse Pub. Side of onion rings.

That's a three day skin from ROC over the Genesee pass. Can't be part of this tour unless we switch to sleds. Plus, Doug's.

Garbage plates... they have some resemblance to Cincinnati chili, but are generally in a league of their own. To keep it authentic, the base are hots or burgers, and you must have mac salad in there. All types will setup in your stomach like concrete, and the meat sauce will make you pay on the back end.

For a greasy ROC meal, Bill Grays or Tom Wahls still take the prize.

Will the canals be frozen over by then though? I could go for that sandwich and a long nap on a canal boat ride.

Canal closes for the season tomorrow. That end of the canal is above ground and will be drained until spring time.

Oh. You know Jimmy too? Jimmy, the guy who jumped off a bridge into the canal and got his foot stuck in a cow skull at the bottom and drowned.

Damn, you guys’ timing couldn’t be better. I’m about to run up to Buffalo to see Junior at college. Thursday it’s back East to Albany to drop some crap off to my dad and siblings and then back to Rockland. I’m definitely getting wings for dinner On Wednesday but I may have to track down that Charise for lunch on Thursday

Well shit, there goes the canal boat.

    Brownski, TR please.

Also, be sure to ask the locals where ever you stop if you are, in fact, in the Upstate.

To be clear, this is upstate Michigan...far enough upstate that any form of argument is rendered instantly preposterous.

Should that TR go here or get its own thread? Also, it may just be pictures of unhealthy food. I’m under orders to transport some Paula’s Doughnuts to Albany as well
