Smith makes and has a small ski goggle "Snow eraser" - sponge on one side, chamois on the other side. Many times that will work. There are some ski gloves that have the little rubber strip on a finger that can be used as a squeegee to get both water and that frozen crust off (al least enough to see the next spot with the frozen ice coming out of it. If you do not want to invest in new gloves, then there are also Skigee goggle wipers that are sold as mentioned above by someone else (Tognar and I've seen them at other shops usually by the cash registers as impulse items.) It has a loop to stick through a finger or thumb even (with glove or mitten still on)...

Finally a small microfiber cloth or the lens cleaning squares available in a pocket can usually get you a clear enough spot also without risking major scratches on the goggle lenses.

    66!!!!

Was this the run that Timber pointed out the abrupt jump at the bottom last spring?

And are we safe in assuming that is not a stunt beer?

how dare you sir?!?! that there is a dead can of dutch courage right there. i tell you what. ya need something to help steady the nerves at these speeds. no doubt. that 66 was from a few years back with a fresh louie tune..... RIP.

that 60 was from wisely scrubbing speed to avoid this here jump of death last year. finally getting old enough to rethink trying a 20 foot air to flats. ain't got the knees for that shit.

Ahh yes the honey hole presents itself. Day 22’s data presents valuable insight into your process.
In addition to the supersonic speeds achieved, I see what you did after run 5. You returned to your perch for a refill.

For as often as this thread is visited and as much drivel as we've spouted there has to be a way for us to monetize it. I'll leave it up to you smart guys and wait for the royalty checks. Thanks.

Thx for the suggestions. I treated myself this season to the nicest goggles I have ever owned a pair of Smith chromag XL on way discounted sale probably because the strap is powder blue and coats 1969... but whatever... I do not want to scratch them.

Classic goggle fuck day in Maine today, I went for the thumb wipe since I couldn’t find my skigee.

I learned the thumb wipe at Bristol so it’s legit upstate tech

Oh man when I saw that earlier I felt so bad for them but then I figured that they ought to make a pretty penny from the lawsuits so being horribly uncomfortable for a few minutes might end up being not so bad.

Jezuz, dudes. You call yourselves eastern skiers who should enjoy diving into snowmaking, because, you know, that's all there is sometimes? Squeegees? C'mon. Goggles cost like 200 bucks these days. Good ones. So, just take your glove off and palm your lens. Poof. Ice gone. It will be back, but, you're good until the next bad gun.
