    Point taken.

That's what it looked like. All but 2 had soup in them. Well, one actually. Soup supply chain issues?

Anyway, clam chowder isn't very upstate. And Manhattan and Long Island style are an abomination. And downstate.

But there are rocks sticking out of the ground in Manhattan so it has a valid claim.

sitting at the end of the runway watching the planes takeoff and land has kind of lost some of its excitement now that the B-52’s have given away to the Cessna 152s.

Must be a trip trying to land that little thing on a runway that’s 11,820 feet long and 200 feet wide…

That’s funny. I’m picturing them taxiing for like ten minutes after setting down. I remember seeing an F-4 buzzing Chazy Lake when I was a kid. It came in real low and did a hard high-g turn a few hundred feet over the water. Must have been visiting Plattsburgh or something. Extremely cool.

I figured I'd missed it. I'll be in the lower contested counties in a few weeks and was wondering if I'd catch any or if it'd all be gone by then.

Yes, and apparently not thinking straight. Meant to say only two had soup. Fuckin soup hoarders.

VTANG F4s out of Burlington? They used to come in low over the house I grew up in.

Probably was. I didn’t know VT had an air force. You see lots of cool aircraft going up and down the Hudson nowadays but they’re just cruising through straight and level. Those guys over the lake were really trying to bend that plane in half. Probably would get in trouble for that nowadays.

In undergrad we could get grandes (24 oz) of the local swill, Hudepohl, for a buck. You've never felt so good at age 18 then when you were walking out of the Stop and Rob with two plastic grocery bags stuffed to the hilt with ice cold Hudy Grandes.

Looks to be the second week of November for work in Manhattan with client stuff in Westchester and trying to get up to do some family stuff with my brother-in-law up the Hudson Valley. I'll be updating here as plans progress.

That makes me happy for some reason. I’m picturing like 3 or 4 parts cars in a big barn or an aluminum roofed out- building of some sort.
