Ummmm ... Sunday and Monday at Bristol. I've got Monday off from work ... but every kid in the upstates will be there due to MLK. Decisions. Plus, waxing gibbous ... so I got that going for me ... which is nice.

The last couple pages have filled me with envy and respect. I wish my dad was willing to tow my sled around with the car as a kid. I should have something to contribute soon though.

Route 23 just west of Mass, either Hillsdale or Copake Falls I think

23 is an east/west road, so that would be a north/south line.

So my wife looks at this thing that's going to give me nightmares tonight. She nonchalantly says,"that's a teddy bear made out of hay bales. hmmpf."

Then again, she is from Oneida. The teddy bear actually explains a lot.

It’s on 23 but I was thinking of the Mass border as the perimeter. We were at Catamount, which straddles the two states.

    Yeah, definitely Ct/Mass/Vermont border.

BTW, I suspect a serial killer specializing in kids did that. But, I'm biased, I'm watching Dexter.

While we've established that Buffalo could just as easily be part of Canuckistan, there's much to celebrate in the upstates this evening.

I came here for the teddy bear pic, but even as an Euro outsider I have to ask whether this bear is truly upstate Unless protected from the elements by blue tarp?

He's so sad he haz no moars gud za.

I kinda want to hug him and let him know that it's going to be OK.

We just have to jump in the car and go south for a small bit, but it's going to be OK.

So there’s a chance Buffalo might just be upstate?

I mean what self respecting upstater would be a jets or giants fan?

PS. Congrats to Buffalo. They need something nice every century.

The Official Argue About Where Upstate NY Is Thread

Just a little belated props for the photo I got from a friend in the middle of the Upstates a couple days ago showing -7 on the thermometer. A nice March day.
