alot happened between ages 15 and 20 for me was a great growth stage in life

don't remember details to well like waking up in kentucky easter sunday afternoon after eating mushrooms and taking a road trip

we were into nodoze and snorting ritalin plus the assorted other fun stuff like acid mushrooms robotussin alcohol and of course weed

or the time at the grand canyon lodge where were so zooted out of our mind face melting fun that someone was knocking at our door and we wouldn't answer finally after many many knocks someone was brave enough and answered it sure enough it was an employee with the extra bedding we requested upon check in

just watched a documentry on the dead had some flash backs I really didn't care for the dead but when tour would hit close by the drugs would be plentyful that was the only plus being friends with deadheads also had a deep thought about my roomate I had for a couple years total shit waste deadhead he did grow up and works on broadway and with some well known names these days but this other guy who he was good buddies with they'd smoke tons of weed eat acid listen to the dead get all deep and shit playing their guitars and other string shit I'd turn the lights on and be like bro what the fuck are you guys doing jeff killed himself a couple years ago fogot about that till the other night

ithaca was a great place to grow up

Me: Why are you in Prague?
Him: Oh, I heard about this super cool auto museum from this model I was with for a few days in Paris that also has a section full of photographs of famous movie stars from the 80s and I wanted to see it. Also, This french woman just talked at me in a hottub for 20 minutes, and then her boyfriend looked at me and said, in french, this woman is fucking crazy, and then the woman just got louder and hurled french at me for another 10 minutes. Also, Slovakia is pretty dope. It's got these cities that are like little US mountain towns. Biking, trail running, everything.

Morning meditation is going to be a lot more tense tomorrow I’m guessing.

Didn’t realize that there was still a $3M bounty on his head thanks to the Iranians feelings being hurt.

It’s west of Buffalo. How can that be upstate?

Maybe he was giving a lecture on how Buffalo is upstate.
    That would explain the stabbing

Did a quick round trip up to Brockport to move the kid into her first apartment, saw some shit, shook our heads at the absurdity of it all in the trendy zone in Rochester, visited the Lakeside Trading Post a vineyard, distillery and brewery then pushed 4 hours in one shot to get home. This place is very cool Click image for larger version.

The MLB thread just reminded me of a memory I'd almost forgotten - sitting in the Cooperstown Hall Of Fame game stands as as a really young kid, having my grandfather teach me how to score a baseball game.

Absolutely field of dreams kind of stuff. I miss that guy.

All my obligations were wrapped up by noon so I drove by Plattekill to make sure it was still there as well.

One spot I did stop just to satisfy my curiosity was the Round Barn. I’m usually around there in winter so there’s not much going on when I drive by.

Typical farmers’ market stuff I think. Somebody that goes to Farmers’ markets can chime in here if something seems askew.

NYS has more Ukranians than any other state.

Xerox kept trying to persuade my cube mate to take a promotion as a supervisor in the Maintenance Dept.s He was the son of an U immigrant and fluent in the language. Most of the guys pushing brooms didn't speak English.

And the HQ of the Ukrainian Federal CU is 4 miles from Marge's so Upstate as fk.

Yup. I’m about 1/4 Ukrainian. There are tons of us around upstate. My little sister married a guy whose ethnic background came so close to ours (the concern was over the Ukrainian, French Canadian & Irish parts). They had to spend some time early on questioning a bunch of aunts, great aunts etc… to make sure they weren’t related.
