    Start your own thread Dave.

Freddie, 5pm is all the working moms. I see your City Market in Avon at 5pm and raise you Wegmans in Pittsford at 11AM Sat.

I’ll raise you both the Buckhead Whole Foods, or for the 20-30 set, Trader Joe’s at any hour.

But to keep it on topic I’d say the Soho Dean & Deluca produces top notch talent.

I have an in-law that works for their corporate office and he sent me pics of their opening of a new store in Raleigh, NC; you would have thought it was a Billy Joel concert with the crowd outside before opening.

This is very very true. When I was at Cornell I visited a friend attending Vanderbilt. I seriously considered transferring. Night and day.

A friend attending U of Rochester did transfer for Georgetown due to the female situation.

Manhattan is great for women if you have $. In my mid-20s living there I did not have two nickles to rub together and the women situation for me was "just okay". But once I started to make some coin several years later, the tables were turned 180 degrees.

Lives in Londonderry? Ha - even when Tr is in VT visiting, he lays his head in the flatlands of the Mettawee Valley.

So at that point it was "jusk okay" for the women?

Dean & Deluca went out of business last year. That neighborhood really went down the shitter the last 5 years. I managed the bike shop.2.blocks fro D&D for a decade and it was kickass but it turned into millionaires row and fell apart.

Yes, but in hindsight as compared to what it became once I had some money to spend on going out.

That's a shame. Last time I was in that neighborhood was for brunch at Balthazar last fall; didn't notice that D&D was gone. From my limited perspective I'll agree that the neighborhood did seem to be a lot more vibrant and fun prior to that visit.
