This guy was lucky, but no mention of operating while impaired . . . .

Snowmobile Crash: On Jan. 19 at 1:30 a.m., Forest Rangers Caswell and Hamm responded to a report of a snowmobile accident near Sacandaga Lake off of Fawn Lake Road. The 21-year-old from Piseco had left his group to head home and crashed into a vacant building. The subject’s father used cell phone coordinates to locate his overdue son and called 911. Rangers worked with the Lake Pleasant Fire Department to bring the subject to a Speculator ambulance, which transported the snowmobiler to the hospital. Resources were clear at 2:30 a.m.
I've spent most of my life skiing and fly fishing. The rest I have just wasted.

Yes - it’s pretty good, like a nice porter with a bit more spices thrown in; but not overdone. Perfect on a cold night [emoji106]

Hard tellin’ not knowin’… been up in the cantons-de-l’est enjoying the frigid powder playgrounds. Best way of knowin’ whats what is the ski area webcams. The snow bands don’t hit quite the way they used to. Snow Ridge, more often than not has been getting missed by the big dumps lately. So it’s always good to check their cameras to see if anything actually is piling up. Pay attention to the large roof and the sidewalk leading to the lodge. You’ll be able to tell if anything is piling up. There should be a shit load of snow there right now and if you take a look, there really isn’t very much on the ground for the season so far.https://snowridge.com/live-feed/Woods Valley‘s been getting more snow than either snow Ridge or McCauley. But of course, it still Woods Valley.https://woodsvalleyskiarea.com/webcams/McCauley has a new chairlift. So they didn’t make any snow on helmers due to the construction. But that means the rest of the mountain got more snowmaking than usual. So they’re in pretty good shape. Any new snow would really help.https://mccauleyny.com/web_cams.htmlOf course, if you’re gonna go up route 26 you’re gonna go right by Snow Ridge anyways. So you’ll be able to get a good look to see if it’s worth paying for a ticket.

Sorry, fucked up forum messing with my links. And it won’t let me edit. It added the first word of the next sentence to the end of the link. So if you just take that word off the link should work for you.Time to sacrifice some virgins to get this goddamn site working better

Reports from the ol’ lady state minimum snowfall on the walkways so far, but also states that the winds are howling.

Looks like snow Ridge is getting some pretty good right now. But when you look at the roofs and sidewalks, it looks like they got only about 3 to 4 inches over the night. McCauley looks like the big winner so far. Looks like about a foot on the ground. Woods Valley is around five or 6 inches.

Conditions were not perfect in the Catskills yesterday. It rained Friday and temps dropped overnight into Saturday morning but it turned out to be a pretty good day.

Looks like he took advantage of the new high speed quad and lapped the shit out of Yodeler.

Probably didn't hurt having the nicest bar/fireplace/Jagermachine/skiteammomshangout combo at the bottom of the run too.

But with that pace I'd assume it would have to be pocket meats and pocket UCs all day long for that guy.

sad day at gore, man. there was a fatality on sagamore. we were riding up the lift before lunch and they had just covered up somebody completely, got to the top and they were announcing burnt ridge and ski bowl were closed for the day. chatted with a liftie, he whispered it was fatal and the entire area is now under investigation… all as I saw a state trooper walk into the ski patrol hut.

the edge of the groomed surface on sagamore dropped off into nasty chunder that varied from 3 to 5 feet lower. body was maybe 20 feet off the groomer [emoji51]

I just told my kids they were keeping him warm until ski patrol got the sled prepared. Jesus

yikes. i've always thought their half trail width snowmaking policy was just asking for trouble. was this on the steeper section?
