That's part of why so many places it's illegal to back into spots in parking lots. I was sitting in the car waiting for my wife to come out of a place and this guy is walking around writing tickets, he comes up and asks me if I was stupid so I answered "of course I am and hello to you. Since we're getting to know each other, why are you so short?" I got a $100 ticket for backing into a spot.

Where the fuck is that Gravity? I'm assuming its the metro/tri-state/dirt EC? Meter Maid low grade flex. So stupid.

I like to think I'm not very vain but I want my ZB plate back. I smoked bambi and lost my front plate. DMV won't replace it so I just roll dirty.

^ It was in western Mass.

I'm sure most of you know the traffic circle in Bear Mtn, top of the Palisades where it meets Rt 6 and the Bear mt Pkwy. Last week there was insane traffic from the PIP to Rt 6 because of an accident on the downside towards Woodbury Commons, so it was chaotic at the circle. I was headed E on 6 so needed to go across the westbound jam but nobody would leave me an inch. I went around a second time. When I got there again 2 entitled pompous asses in unnecessarily expensive large SUVs jammed in front of me and blocked me from moving so I sat sideways across three lanes waiting for a hole. Nobody would budge. I sat there until people started taking my picture then I just started moving and hoping one of the cars in front of me would move. It worked but I had to go on the grass for a bit. Fuckn people suck. I mean, I understand that they had been sitting in traffic for 5 or 6 miles but geez...

This weather sux. Perpetual misty, wet, cold with occasional rounds of rain for days on end. BLAH. Almost 5" of rain already in August and 6" last month. Yuck.

Another cross-state ride coming up tomorrow but this time the wife and kid will be following a few hours after. I'll work my way up stopping at customers along the way so I'll run up through The Fingerlakes zone. It ought to be all sorts of fun rolling along through what's left of Debby for 360 miles. Everybody needs a Little Debby right? Dinner on the Erie Canal tomorrow. We're heading up for the downtown Brockport craft fair, the wife has a booth there. Come visit us at the Looming Madness tent, we'll be there both days

So, if you're a state that requires a front plate (MA, NH, NY, ME, and VT unless you paid extra for a Vermont Strong plate) don't expect that to work - at least in NY.
so… bikes on front and back then?

Watkins Glen= probably the only place in the country where you would see a convoy of Ferraris with race numbers on them driving along in a torrential downpour. I also saw several tire company trucks headed towards the track. I bet everybody is doing tire testing today.

Hope everyone's alright after the deluge yesterday. Some of the conditions I drove through were inspiring for sure. South of Watkins Glen the water was running off the roadside cliffs so hard it was waterfalls into the center of the road. There was so much water...!

    fact.
Lived in B-ville for 8 years. All my kids graduated from HS there. 2 of them still live there. Nice place.

Crazy that no restaurant has been able to make it over the years perched above Lock 24.

Hard to make your nut on just a couple of months a year. Nobody wants to hang out by a frozen Lock in the winter time.
