What a day we had yesterday. Plattekill is probably done for the season but it was a good one

Since this is the upstate thread, me and my kids call this Grand Cherokee corner- you have to be careful on the end of day downhill here when it’s not dry. So if I’m not driving - for whatever reason - I always remind my son “Make sure you slow down before you get to Grand Cherokee corner.”

As I was heading out I spotted a very conspicuous Geo Tracker parked in the upper lot so I swung by and got to meet M27. We had a nice chat but I had to get back home so hilarity did not ensue. Maybe next time.

I cut pasted for you all from the ECRC. Not sure that Snow Ridge is CNY but maybe. Anyway, Harv is still just aspiring to upstatedness so he’s got plenty of time to learn the subtleties. Robert is a good dude.

Spring bump comps and park jams are a fine thing.

    Sun's out, bump's out, jump's out.

yeah, I'm daisy-chaining the sweeper to the dethatcher. task at hand is jury-rigging a hitch on the dethatcher...

    'scratch & sweep'

it's not perfect (yet) but tons of benefits. >best so far is the dethatcher keeps sticks out of the sweeper

Sounds more like you’re breaking stuff than fixing stuff.

If you’re still at it, I suggest zip ties for a secure yet flexible connection

I've been known to do that, more often than I'd like to admit... but you got to keep modifying, save labor = more gold can time

The never-ending battle in the Great Lakes region to attain that most beautiful of all things: a well-manicured bluegrass lawn, free of weeds and with perfectly-laid stripes. The work starts now as Twomartinis shows us, and it doesn’t end till mid-September.

Godspeed my man, I sure don’t miss it.

So a well manicured suburban lawn is an Upstate thing now? I guess if you wear a double beer helmet while piloting the ride-on we can reassess. Do you store the ride-on under a tarp? That tips the scale.
