Actually, I could use help, I'm looking to rent a nice road bike, can't really find any stores that rent a real bike, either Mt. Or Road. I'll try and hit up some mechanics, but if any of you know anyone. Medium/54cm. Maybe $125 for a few days?
Try mellow velo I've rented from them before

There isa beater 58cm dean road bike in my parents garage as a backup for me

Absolutely amazing road riding south of sewercuse probably some of the best riding in the country smooth roads no traffic and one small painful climb after another all day long

Oh, I know those roads so well, I learned how to road ride on them in the ‘80’s. (As well as out towards chittenango, south from Cazenovia, Pompey, even Onondaga Res. and Southwest of Syracuse).
Mello’s site says they don’t currently rent due to the pandemic, (supply issues) but I imagine that is outdated. I will call them Monday or Tuesday.

Bristol was awesome yesterday, felt so nice to get some soft spring time turns back in the upstates. the corn was absolutely peelin' away!! 60 and sunny, I was amazed the weather held out before that band of storms rolled thru last night

foolish move on my part, I forgot the UC's... but I did grab a rack of 'em at Wegs today to bring back to VT with me for the rest of my spring adventures. cheers all!!

    I can smell that picture.

Spring skiing has a scent. Someone should make a candle of it.

Ah, the fresh scent of upstates spring corn farts...

Can discerning olfactory systems discern manmade from sky corn...maybe even regional differences...

This is true. And when the warm spring breeze wafts over the hill to the parking lot you can pick out the subtle bits of what happened the day that manmade corn was originally shot out of a gun.

“I like to think about what was going on the day the snow was made; how the sun was shining; if it rained. I like to think about all the people who tended and made the snow. And if it's old snow, how many of them must be dead by now. I like how snow continues to evolve, like if I opened patch of manmade snow today it would smell and ski different than if I’d opened it on any other day, because manmade snow is actually alive. And it’s constantly evolving and gaining complexity."

I knew it sounded familiar. I hate that movie- made it impossible to sell merlot for like ten years. And the Virginia Madsen character is the only one that’s not a complete tool.

Yeah, I remember the hit Merlot took after it came out.

I was super thankful cause my favorite Pahl Meyer merlot came down to damned near daily driver pricing.

I’ll rip off a quote from Bottle Shock next time to be safe

And yeah, Virginia’s character was the best of the bunch, although I do love the scene with Thomas Hayden Church on the golf course waving his club wildly at the guys that hit into them.

I had no idea that Sideways would elicit such emotions on a Monday.

I loved it, so I’m curious to hear opposing views. I mean I get the whole segment-killing effect on wine sales so yeah, got that part loud and clear.

I guess I didn’t entirely hate it. There is some good cringe humor and some good drunk humor if I remember correctly. Bottle Shock was better.

Loathsome main characters. It was shot very prettily which obscured the shit story.

I actually watched it again not long ago and the hate only grew.

Virginia Madsen was super hot in it though. And I like Paul Giamatti.
