The enthusiasm that the sailboat took off with when the lock opened while the houseboat held back told me everything I needed to know. The rapid corrective inputs the old man at the helm executed while giving the cameraman the WTF hand signal was great.

Fuck, I lived there for three years. You could get to Grand Central in twenty five minutes. I bicycled into Manhattan a few times a month.

Yup, lets get an Upstate maggot mini together. It has been way too long since the last local get together.

with the proper waxing and a good tail wind, I believe that speed record can be easily topped.

That’s fucking awesome to have that kind of data at the ready should anyone challenge your UC speed records.

I dunno man, that speed on that slope makes me think you already were pretty close to having optimum wax.

yeah, 802 and all that.... however, i believe we are still at the preliminary planning stages of this event. all possible venues deserve full consideration at this point in time. as such, titus is indeed a valid prospect for this most prestigious of events.

they certainly have the snowmaking capabilities to ensure massive airs.

on that note, McCauley would also be an excellent choice for a ski off...

I think we should also have one this winter. I'm up for a Royal- or McCauley day, maybe one of the other barely known zones like Bristol or something else off the beaten path.

Solid data and good effort. Adding this to the spreadsheet.

I just started the spreadsheet but I'm wondering if we create a separate thread for Upstate speed records so it doesn't get buried in here? People can upload their Ski Tracks data or whatever app they use like M27 did.

A separate thread is fine as long as you also post it in ECRC with a picture of somethings that’s not soup but captioned as soup.

I’m officially endorsing both meetups, wherever they end up being held

    ha, no.

bankers, diplomats, execs on the 'right' side of the tracks. lots of co-ops (white collar non-execs, professionals) on the other (technically Yonkers). some of the best schools in the county.

I was a sophomore going to high school in the Bronx dating a freshwoman from Sarah Lawrence. I'd tap that every day on my way home on my way back to not quite upstate. I applied and got into Sarah Lawrence just for the ratio and got in, but after slaying that entire dorm and having my heart ripped out along with my virginity, decided the best of it and declined. I will say my game was on when I was a 17 year old freshman in college in Mass though, years later. It was like being raised by a kinky hot mother's group of horny ass emo drugie artists. I learned a lot.
