Boise Mags: Best Campsite/BLM for One Night?
Need to be in Meridian at 07:30 Monday and wondering if there are recommended car camping spots within 45 minutes. Would love natural beauty but would settle for safe and quiet. Thanks.

I think this is a little farther than 45, but I camped at Bully Creek Reservoir CG, it was pleasant and quiet.

Alternately, head up 8th Street or Rocky Canyon and do the same thing, but I think you're a little more likely to encounter hobos on those two options.
