Greatest Downhill Run Ever?
Gwin's chainless win?
Rockwell's Kamikaze?
Then I rewatched this for, oh, the hundredth time:
Hands down;
Best riding, best announcing
"How does Danny sit down with balls that big!!!"
Anyone have other choices?Last edited by Roxtar; 06-12-2020 at 10:51 AM.

Not sure it beats Danny, but Sam Hill at Champery is a classic.

Watching that now most of those guys look like they're on bikes two sizes too small and bars they borrowed off a commuter.

(2nd half of video)Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?
fuck that noise.
gmen.

Id go with Sam at val di sol. I dont know if we'll ever see that type of raw speed again. 1:35-40 is insane. All of it actually but that section is unbelievable speed

Mustve watched yhat 40x by now. All of Sams teamates have lifted their game being with him, for good reason. Same for Stevie RIP. I think Brannigan has his best year to date with Stevie and his other teamate(name escapes me now, he retired yr or 2 later).A definite contenda of a run. Incredible precision on a slick rocky and rooty course. MSA is no joke. Still cant believe he was able to win ,after the weather came in on him, let alone by almost a second

Gwin's MSA run is up there for me, especially when put in context of the full race. It just didn't seem possible at that point for anyone to find that kind of time in those conditions. And how bout when he comes into the rock section in the woods and almost stalls out? I thought he was done there.

I’m here for that Amaury run. Some of the dopest riding I’ve ever seen. Taking that much time out of people on a dry course is just mental.
Gwin’s chainless run is close.

I watched all the posted videos last night...and I’ve concluded that they are all the greatest.
This thread rules.
I miss racing.

I put on Roam once when my kid was 6 or 7 (he's 10 now) and starting to turn into a solid little rider. The Whistler segment comes on and almost immediately he says, "Why are their bars so narrow?"
There are few things better than going on a big ride early in the morning mid-summer, then parking your ass on the couch all afternoon watching World Cup DH while it's hot as balls outside.
