    Pressurized Growler ?

Any reviews of your pressurized growler?
Getting a kegerator isn't an option.
IMO...regular growlers don't hold the carbonation well enough.

I'm looking at Ukeg from Growlerworks (probably not due to intensive cleaning)
    This looks good: https://www.amazon.com/NutriChef-PKB...-garden&sr=1-7

    Cheers!

There's only one response to this that is TGR appropriate: quit being such a pussy and finish drinking your growler before it loses its carbonation. Problem solved.

They were selling these in the Whitefish Brewery. Cool looking, but no idea if they work well

Good points by them, especially on the cleaning. Depending on how much you drink each week, sure seems like a simple growler or eight, in various sizes, would be the answer.

    Damn It!!!!
The reason for the growler upgrade is because my favorite brewery doesn't can their beer. I was hoping to go once a week and fill up a 128 oz pressurized container.....but they won't fill anything bigger than 64 oz.

Hard to find great german-styled beers from a brewery around here.

Depending on where you get your growlers filled, you may only get charged for 64oz when you fill the 1 gallon keg as some places don’t have a way to double charge.

yeah never been a growler fan (well I like the band)- the beer's too flat by the time it's been poured a second time

    Agree....that's why I'm looking into a CO2 pressurized growler.

I took a pressurized growler the other day. HFS I thought it was going to tear my ass right off.

My brother has a Growler-Werks uKeg CO2 pressurized growler. Williams Sonoma sells it for about $150. Overkill to me, but it does keep the beer nice for an entire day. I'd rather just drink cans of Bode's Pub Ale

    The double is pretty cool.

Growler Werks is a local Portland company and the founder is a skier - who knows, he might be a mag.

If you drink at home, just get a keg system. Cheaper, easier to clean.

If you want travel beer, buy cans. Cheaper, easier to dispose of, and no need to haul 20# of empty gear you need to wash.

    I don’t see the appeal.

Dude, it's hip. You stroll down to the local brewery in your fedora, or cruise over on your fixie and grab a growler. There is a rule though, you must tell everyone where you get your beer from.

My wife always wants to buy me a kegerator system and I know it would be awesome, but I've got two major reservations:
    1. I like switching it up. I don't want to drink the same beer for weeks.
    2. Too tempting. I'm pretty sure I'd drink more beer because I wouldn't want to risk the beer going stale.

What's the smallest size keg that is widely available, a sixth barrel? That's about 40 pints, so probably doable, but I still don't know if I want to drink that much of a single beer.

That’s why you get a 2 tap kegerator.

    Duh!

You guys ever hear of blending?

I run my system using the old soda ball lock kegs, 5 gals each. I have plenty of variety and share out as much as I can.

Not only blending there is cooking with beer. How is it possible for beer to even get stale? Like living in the Arctic and worry about too many ice cubes.
