I make cold brew in my french press. Overnight steep. little simple syrup, and some half and half. Super smooth.

Cold brew really does change the flavor. Way less bitter.

The thing about iced coffee is everyone has their color. Mine really only gets there with 2% milk, that's what we always had in the house in the day. If there's no 2% I'll use a little whole milk and a little skim milk.

This is why Dunkies sucks for iced coffee. First of all it's not very good coffee, but even more than that, they will not relinquish control of the milk/cream. So fuck them and that. Cumbies is way better and as much as I hate to give them props, Starbucks cold brew is pretty kickass.

The only reason ever to go to Dunkies for iced coffee is the Boston Cremes. Fuck those things are good. I'm down to maybe 4 a year but I could eat a lot more.

Mentioned this before but I like the coffee ritual more than the coffee. Not a big fan of hot drinks so any time I drink coffee it's cold. Winter, summer, doesn't matter. Same impression of DD's iced coffee; isn't worth it and tastes sour. Agree the SBUX nitro is good as are most nitros. There is a big difference in brewed coffee with a few ice cubes and true cold-brew. Lots of independent shops have good cold-brew. Usually drink black but some kind of milk or creamer is fine. No sweetener. Looking forward to a post-covid world where I get to fill out a loan application for a cup.

It's Dunkin Donuts, that's a nickname people use here in New England, since they started in Mass. I guess we're allowed. I also mentiooned Cumbies, which is actually Cumberland Farms, a big local gas/convenience store chain, 99 cents any size coffee and you do your own milk and sugar (if you want them), but no donuts.
