I feel obligated to point out that there is no evidence of Army infantrymen being involved in the insurrection (yet). If for no other reason than the fact that after carrying and sleeping with an M-4, M-240, M-16, etc, for years of your life, you have no fucking interest in playing dress up (soldier) and carrying around an AR-15 to intimidate women, minorities and old people.

My way of saying there were a whole lot of wannabes in that bunch.

Yeah, about 4 out of 5 if I'm doing the math right. The other 20% were what, ancillary staff, lt. generals, etc.... Honestly that part is probably the biggest bummer about all this, for me. That and all the cops.

I was in the airport waiting for my plane to unload and the gate agent is trying to rev everybody up to give a bunch of soldiers a big ovation. I don't do that, but as the soldiers walk past me I asked one where they were coming from. Guantanamo. Glad I didn't applaud. I know the GI's aren't responsible for that particular atrocity but it's hard to have too much respect for the soldiers when you don't respect the mission. I don't disrespect them either. I have a kid in the military (who makes it a point to avoid being in uniform if he doesn't have to be so people don't thank him for his service.

I'm just an old ass washed up has been at this point. It really does piss me off though to see a bunch of wannabes carrying assault rifles when they were too big of cowards to carry them in Afghanistan after we were attacked.
