Deep Water Horizon maybe wouldn't have happened if he wasn't all gung ho on US energy independence.
And 20 million Americans were basically forced to buy expensive insurance for expensive, iffy medical care. Makes me want to spit when Democrats hold that godawful Republican written bill as some sort of great accomplishment.

And I'm saying a lot of those moves were temporary pandemic stuff that should be made permanent.
All you have to do is look back to Obama's first term to see that time is limited and you need to pick and choose which battles you want to fight in terms of legislation to pass, and he had supermajorities. Two years later that flipped he was basically a lame duck for 6 years and had passed what, a stimulus package and obamacare?Live Free or Die

We all pick which assholes to live near I guess. I'd shoot myself before living in an over 55 place.

Obama?
DWH was built in 2001.
@AR, FFS Biden was inaugurated yesterday and we have a pandemic in progress our economy is on life support and it refuses to snow in any measurable amount.
I know there are people who believe GAWD made everything in 6 days but Joe Biden is human. And try to remember that since the election the Trump WH has done everything in their power to fuck him like a common house cat through 9 pairs of pants.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

No doubt, but mail in voting is a state issue, not federal government issue. Unless you think Biden has the political cache to get an amendment to the US Constitution ratified. That seems like a big lift to me, especially seeing as how a good chunk of the opposition still thinks Trump won the election.
I hope he concentrates on getting a plan in place to get vaccines in arms. There is literally nothing more important right now.Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that

I thought a part of why Pelosi slow walked virus relief all summer was because she was holding out for nationwide vote by mail?
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...elief-n1193276
As PNW pointed out, Congress can do some work on this matter themselves. I just think it would be a good effort and, in effect, give them a longer window to pass legislation (for as we all know vote by mail would increase turnout and DEM representation ultimately).
That being said, I do agree, vaccine distribution (and other corona virus relief) is the actual priority number 1 and Biden should get the states to hurry the fuck up. From what I can tell, it isn't so much the feds holding up distribution but states. It has been pretty maddening to see pretty much across the country, from here in Wyoming to California, its been a pretty equal fuck up on the states end with distribution.Live Free or Die

US vaccine shortages force cancellations and postponements
Some COVID-19 vaccination sites in New York City began canceling or postponing shots or stopped making new appointments Thursday amid vaccine shortages around the U.S. that President Joe Biden has vowed to turn around.
Smaller-than-expected deliveries from the federal government have caused frustration and confusion and limited states’ ability to attack the outbreak that has killed over 400,000 Americans. Over the past few days, authorities in California, Ohio, West Virginia, Florida and Hawaii warned that their supplies were running out.

Benny... Benny... Benny.... come on now.... do you think there aren't people who live within 50 miles of you that think differently than you do about who should be president? And isn't living a cloistered life part of what contributes to the problem of people not coming together to understand one another?
