Don't a large majority of people ride it from Fruita to Moab? I guess this way he's got the wind at his back.
Checked at 2:04pm and he was close, but not there yet according to the map...

Impressive!
Kurt rode Moab to Fruita when setting the existing record. I can see a lot of riders wanting a big descent into Moab to finish but racers probably want to get the La sals out of the way first rather than 80 miles in.
