WTB: Size Large MTB for Father

Looking for a bike for my father in law. Nothing too fancy. Open to full squish or hard tail. $1500 budget. 27.5 or 29". Frame only (for less than $1k) is under consideration as well.

If he's likely to like XC geometry, then look at the Viathon clearance bikes. Hardtail only, nice spec, very good pricing on clearance - and there's cashback kickbacks too.

It's the high end bike line from Walmart, so whether that matters to you...

Were you able to grab the GX one? Looked at the website just now and looks like those are gone. They were something like $1300ish.
