    Happy Pills Yay, or Nay?

What everyoneís opinion? A must have, or a no go?

Iím shocked at how many are on Zoloft or lexapro, they even have their kids on it, entire families. My last two girlfriends were on it, and their teenage kids. Thatís illegal in some countries.

I took some after my divorce, and it Iíll admit, it totally chilled me out. But when I came off them two yrs later (not easy), I felt better with the emotion back on.

Tried it twice over the years

Both times I was tripping balls and quit after a few weeks. Not sure how people can trip every day without being on a greatful dead tour

My friend says lexipro is mellower. Haven’t tried that one

Lexapro here. Wife says it smoothed me out a bit. Maybe less outbursts but I don't feel that different. 1/2 pill a day

Only with liquor and weed...maybe a bit of toot. Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.

    But seriously......no. Endorphins are healthier.

Yup and we are all different, so who here knows whatcha need. My wife has taken Wellburtin forever. Kind of scares me as the potential side effects I read about seemed worse that being depressed, but what do I know?

Lexapro is the active enantiomer of celexa, way fewer side effects. Less libido killing but still apparent

I'm growing some shrooms. I think I want to give that micro dosing a try.

I say nay but thatís from watching a sister go down a deep dark hole with this shit as the so called professionals kept upping her dosage. It was a journey to get off of that shit and now she will never go back. Flip side - another family member who is a hi-performer takes a mild dosage and canít imagine life without it. Consult a professional and good luck!

    Isnít that a different thread?

I have wondered why so many people have trouble coping with life these days. Dealt with my ex and her use of prescription psychoactive drugs for a decade plus. Itís a never ending nightmare for some and I feel for them, but thereís really nothing you can do to help them.

I do think that micro dosing, or full dosing, with mushrooms can be helpful for these folks. Itís shown promise for anxiety, depression and ptsd.

Isn't this akin to asking, "pacemakers... Yay or Nay?ď

I mean, some people need em, some could likely benefit from them and some don't but it's a good idea to ask your doc and include a specialist in that conversation.

I used them to get out of a bad place after some gnarly life stuff, tapered off and now I'm feeling right again. But each situation is different.

A MJ cookie a day keeps the monster at bay. What works for me may not work for others. Who am I to say one way or another if your cookie is a pill instead.

OTOH my sister also went deep and dark on the happy pills.

    I’m interested in micro dosing.

    It might work.

I can’t leave my skull again. I might not come back.

But a tinge of alternate reality might set me straight.

    True.
    Long time clinical depressive.
I learn to live with it. Like Winston Churchill and his little black dog.
Some days i want a lobotomy so I don’t have to think so much.
