I apologize for my previous comment.

Celery salt is also an essential ingredient for a Chicago hot dog.

But other than hot dogs and bloody Mary’s?
    And maybe MtMs pickle

    Carry on.

It's nice on a fresh tomato too.
    I've also used on jerky.

I’d like to taste what it’s supposed to taste like. Not the dust mix from a shit bar or even the overly smug artisanal stylings of an aesthete or the buffet in a pint glass.
Just the classic whole flavor of the earnest unvarnished recipe

And, if that doesn’t really exist, then that’s fine too...that’s worth knowing too

I figured this crowd might know...
If you're leaning purist vs. all the extras just focus on horseradish and worcestershire. If you add W you don't need to put a lot of other stuff in there as it's made of vinegar, anchovies, molasses, tamarind, onion, garlic, and other high-flavor stuff. In same vein, try V8, sure, but then go and try basic, good quality tomato juice. Keeping it basic will let you taste all the unique flavors in the 3-4 ingredients.

You really want it in coleslaw (or celery seed plus salt, which is what celery salt is- the seeds are ground up for celery salt).

Pickled okra is my favorite veggie added to a bloody. And I always prefer tequila to vodka, making it a Bloody Maria (I also like the Canadian Ceasar, made with Clamato)

It's really good in chicken and tuna salad. makes them much better. I don't use it in anything else other than bloodies.

kinda surprised no one has mentiond Dimitris?

Shit is the bomb and makes an idiot proof good bloody and way less hassle than grabbing all the horseradish or worcestershire individually.

    Vodka
    Plain tomato juice
    Dimitris to taste
    fresh lemon and lime wedge
    2 jalapeno/garlic stuffed olives
thin piece of celery to stir and scoop up an olive
crack or two of fresh pepper and drop or two of your preferred hot sauce if you seek a lil extra kick
celery salt rimmed mason jar (ive done old bay sometimes as well too)

    enjoy
