Asphalt sealer question
Any experience with asphalt driveway resealing here ? Is there better products than others ? Plan is to spray bleach go kill mold, scrub, pressure wash then recoat. Have a guy going small patch repair and he wants $800 to recoat which seems sort of high. I was thinking I can knock it out in an afternoon. Area is about 18x30.

DIY is black paint these days
Pro seal coating is tar emulsion and can help. But also not help much if the asphalt is really old already.
If you like pretty then brush out a few cans of paint.
I’m not sure back in the day what was in those cans I squeegeed
Today the only decent coatings are hot applied pro grade.. . .

He needs to show up with a propane boiler heating Some black tar.
If it ain’t that it ain’t no good.
And it will smell like nasty tar for a few weeks. Otherwise it’s paint.. . .

He is telling the truth. It is just paint, but it does make your driveway look good.
