FS: Rock Skis in Bay Area: Spatula, Billy Goat, Supernatural 108

Going to be moving to a smaller place and therefore need to offload my rock ski collection. I'm located in the Bay Area and can coordinate contactless pick up/drop off. I don't have ski boxes that will fit any of these skis so can't really ship, but if you have a buddy in the area that I can pass them off to and them have him ship, happy to make anything work.

SOLD. Volant Spatula, 186cm. Marker 1300 Titanium Bindings w/Piston Control (not indemnified). Assume that's the only mount but don't know. These things are beat up: missing chunks of topsheet, core shots in the bases. Plus old Marker bindings. That said, I have used the bindings (should fit anything around a 25.5-27.5 boot--I used them with a 26.5 boot) and didn't die, and the skis are super fun, absurdly damp, and will make you the coolest skier on the mountain. $125.

SOLD. ON3P Billy Goat, 186cm. 13/14 year model. These have RES but not the straighter sidecut underfoot or asym. Mounted once for Pivots/FKS for a 295mm BSL. FKS 14 are in good working shape. Skis have fairly heavy topsheet chipping, a couple of larger core shots that have all been professionally repaired, a few deeper base scratches that aren't repaired but don't go to the core, and some edge burrs and light surface rust from storage. $250.

Line Supernatural 108, 186cm. 14/15 year model, which was unchanged across all years released as far as I know. Mounted once for Pivots/FKS for a 295mm BSL. Come with mismatched Pivot 14 toes and Pivot 18 heels. Brakes don't fit amazing and the heels are slightly jiggly but it all tests properly and works well--they're Pivot 18s after all. Topsheets are in pretty good shape with more chipping on the tails. Bases have a few small repaired core shots as well as a few unrepaired base gouges, two of which just barely go to the core in very small areas. Edges are in decent shape, all things considering. Most serious potential issue is that the base of one ski started to delam at the tail of the ski. Only 1cm delammed and I've repaired it, but wanted to call it out. $100

I don’t even need the bindings. I would just want the ski flat. Heck, I could ship you two halves of a long ski box to allow you to ship the skis to me. Those ON3P’s belong at the mountains where they were born.

Let me see if I can dig up a box for them this weekend/early next week. If I can I’ll facilitate getting them up your way.

I don't mind taking care of shipping to Bandit if you are too busy. Just need to coordinate pickup from you.

I have had several mags offer to help out, which is awesome!

Skeeze - are you willing to go thru the trouble to make this happen if the Mags rally to get the BG’s back to their homeland?

I’m striking out with finding boxes. Anyone got a line on ski boxes in the Oakland area?

I've got several here in Reno, if there's anyone driving from here to the bay area anytime soon.

Buy two shorter rectangular boxes and tape them together.

Another option is going somewhere like an auto body shop that gets lots of big boxes, you can easily make a sleeve with one of those and some tape.

On that note - I've used Fed Ex triangular boxes, cut open and turned inside out. Two of them will cover a pair of skis. Lots of tape though.

Fedex has 80” x 8 x 8 for like 10$. Snug down and throw some old magazines or newspaper in the box GTG. Get those BGs for your kid!!!!

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Received some skis myself so now have a ski box that can fit the skis w/out bindings—giving Bandit Man the first option.

Also if anyone wants the FKS 14s, they’re available for sale—PM me offers.
