If you really want to taste and compare different tequilas, just water and some bland palate cleansers like crackers or baguette. If you want to make a night of it, maybe some ceviche (seafood isn't meat, right?). Not quite sure what else would work if you're sticking with veggie options but personally I would avoid gloopy tex mex style food if you want the tequila to shine through.

I object and find that discriminatory!

The obvious is chips n salsa. Not nasty mass produced salsa, home made pico de gallo style.

    Ok. My list

Fortaleza, Still Strength Blanco might be the best tequila out there.
Hell, any Fortaleza is going blow that stuff out of the water.. Tahona crushed, small distillery... The only member of the Sauza family that is still involved with tequila.

The Cascahuin line is real good. I like the 48* plata. Sharp, edgy. real good. Tough to get, only found in a couple of states. I brought back the 48* and Aniversario from the distillery.

The Siembra stuff is good. There is Valles, obviously is a lowlands. Azul is their highlands. Solid stuff.

Caballito Cerrero is real good as well. They make a 47* repo that is awesome. Sharp enough not to be overly sweetened by the barrel.

San Matias Tahona is solid too. Their repo is one of the few repos I'll drink.

Arette is good and the classico line is a nice value tequila. Small family run distillery in Tequila.

The roca line from Patron is actually solid stuff.

This is the Sauza factory.. this is how they make everything at Sauza. Google diffuser. They basically use hydrochloric acid to extract the sugars from immature agave. I wouldn’t make my enemies drink that shit.

TequilaMatch is a good website. You can look up brands either by their name or NOM and see where it's made and a lot of times how its made. I'd stay away from any diffuser production. Caz, Avion, Sauza, Cuervo, Clase Azul, Old Casamigos facility had one..
