FS: 11/12 191cm wrenegade, 190cm red lotus hybrid

Help fund my acquisition of a beater trail sled that will get heavy use once the zombie apocalypse is over. I will spend this money on one of two things, buyer’s choice:

    1) beer consumption while repairing the sled in my garage
    2) one or multiple replacement parts, exact quantity TBD

190cm red Lotus Hybrid - beer $$$ + shipping. 3 mounts. A couple core shots near the edges on one ski. I mounted them for Plum Guides @ +1.5 of rec for 295 bsl, inserts installed for the toes due to hole conflicts with a previous mount.

Best pow touring ski ever? Yes, quite possibly. I skied the heck out of these after buying them from Bandit man. Unfortunately I “upgraded” to the blue generation this season. Well loved like the cougars in Red Lodge MT, but still plenty of cushion for the pushing and space for another mount.

SOLD - 191cm 11/12 on3p wrenegade - $50 + shipping. 3 mounts. I mounted them on the line for STH @ 306 BSL. One core shot repair and a slight tail delam on one ski. Bought these from Norseman last season. Skied them a few times but they mostly collected dust in the garage. My wife says I don’t have the balls to ski them, I say that I have too much quiver overlap and get out more on my BGs cuz they are more versatile. Am I a lil beesh or do I just have too many skis? Buy these and decide for yourself.

Trailer almost complete. Ordered a 4x8 folding trailer to fold up and store vertically in my garage when not in use. Got it put together over the last 2 days and heading to the lumber yard tomorrow to pick up some plywood for the decking. Need to buy sled ramps or DIY some after that.

Once that’s done I plan to track a cheap sled down on Craigslist.

Right on. I have the Harbor Freight version of that same trailer. I think I picked it up about 15 years ago, and it’s been one of the more useful things I’ve owned. As long as the tire pressure is good and the axles get greased every year or three it’ll last forever.

Easy to fold up and unfold with one person, only takes a couple minutes. It is aluminum and the whole thing only weighs about 200lbs, 1100lb load capacity.

    Bought from:

    Video of folding and unfolding:

There’s more to it than what is shown in the video, and it takes more time than a few minutes. I’ve had one for just over a decade. The wiring needs a little attention and the softer aluminum bits can get beat up over time, but a workable alternative for folks that don’t have a pickup and only need to occasionally pull small loads.

What problems have you had with wiring? I fastened mine with zip ties and slack around the hinge - took a few test folds/unfolds to get it set properly but it seems good to go now

You did it right. Over time, from unfolding and folding and storing the trailer, the wires can get snagged and tear. Just need to be careful. Also, in the video, it doesn’t show that there are four bolts to secure and two require getting underneath the trailer. If you are a big guy, they suck to get to and tighten. Finally, I recommend adding bolts to the 2x4’s used to create the sides. With out bolts, they risk coming loose over bumps and irregularities of the driving surface. If you pay attention to those things, you will be fine and it will be a great little hauler.

Make sure your new sled has enough oomph to tandem or at least tow. You know for those days when you need some company! Also, I think I saw saw some real shitty sleds for sale up hwy 141. Probably carburetted, for when you want to make sure you have a real adventure deep in the boonies.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues
