    General Sports Discussion

In these unprecedented times sports talk radio has taken on some very interesting, and very important topics. Topics that I think maggots should weigh in on. Topics that are a perfect fit for the end of the bar sometime around 2am during the old normal. Feel free to post yours.

    Today's topic:

Greatest (or your favorite) uniforms; open category:

    Mine

    70's Indians

    U of M

I'll admit, the Royals light blue and Yankee's pinstripes are pretty iconic too.

I feel you're biased on the Indians uniforms? I always thought the Dodgers had the best baseball uniforms.

For tomorrow's least favorite uniforms question, I'd like to vote for the '76 White Sox. What the hell were they thinking?

Those uniforms are hideous. I'll give them points for creativity. As I throw up a little in my mouth. Sir Drunkley is easier to look at than those threads. That's saying something.

For baseball there is nothing like Yankee blue pinstripes.

For football, the black and silver of the Raiders

I look forward to this discussion. And yes, totally biased.

Yeah that looks funny now. But I don't get the ultra baggy basketball shorts, and long over the shoe baseball pants like Manny Ramirez. That stuff flops around on you and I never felt quick carrying around all that fabric on my legs. For baseball I always wore knicker pants as they seemed cooler in the summer and never had to worry about catching a spike in the pant. The fitted long baseball pant was a bit better but still hotter. (Sorry BMills, I couldn't find a picture of him in Indians uniform.)

"YOUR TROJANS CAN'T COVER OUR COCKS"

    - University of South Carolina Bumper Sticker when we played that other SC team 1984

    add

    "COKE IS IT"

    - Booker T Washington PE center Gym on THE USC campus had a 2 story mural of George Rogers when I went to THE USC mid-80s. Popular pastime was to put one of these bumper stickers under his nose. I may have done so. maybe not.

I always liked those '70s Indians unis, too, for some reason. Otherwise the classics are classic like the Yankees pinstripes, the Dodgers, and the Tiger home unis with the old English D.

I remember some baseball author (maybe Bill James) saying some expansion team used twice as many uniforms in one season as the Yankees have over their entire existence.
