IMHO, the most hated players in sports:
    B-Ball: Bill Lambeer
Football: Ben Davidson or insert []_[] player here
    Roger Clemens
    Derek Sanderson.

I was a fan of all of the above, other than Lambeer.

    Nominations - recent players:

NBA: Draymond Green - irritating nut kicker (although he’s a Dub/3x champ, so I personally like him)

NFL: Vontaze Burfict - dirty AF, quasi-criminal.

MLB - The Astros - fucking cheaters (for that matter, maybe the Red Sox, too)

Hockey - Brad Marchand, Bruins - another chippy guy

    Management:

NBA - James Dolan, Knicks - totally sucks, irritating and incompetent

    NFL - Jerry Jones - ego/Cowboys/sucks

That’s what I got (for now)...

He’s not an athlete in my eyes, only a criminal that abuses animals for cheap thrills.

Hate? That's easy, the Detroit Red Wings and their fans. So fun to watch them suck this year.

I wish Lance Armstrong was homeless and living under a bridge.

    General Sports Discussion

For NFL, I’ll say: Bill Romanowski.

Now that I think about it, at my kids first Phillies game, I encouraged him to boo Gary Sheffield....not the whole opposing team....just Sheffield.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Oh man. I generally catch him while watching Blazer games, where I want to hear about the game, the players, etc. And fucking Bill is blathering on about the stupidest shit, a ton of which I already know as a native Oregonian who went to Eugene and grew up digging the Dead. So it just sounds stupid and detracts from the game. I now painfully put it on mute, partially because I feel so bad for Dave because you can hear his agitation grow by the minute. /rant

Sanderson? Nah. Lots of guys way more hateable than ol' Deke. He had a little trouble with substances but he was always a good guy. But maybe that's just the Boston perspective, I dunno.

For sure. I loved him. Other than Bobby Orr, he was probably my favorite Bruin. But, I lived in Ranger country. After Deke beat the crap out of Brad Park, he was hated by just about everyone in NY/NJ

    Agh that’s awful....

Now Lakers gold and purple - that’s classy? And Red Wings red. Scotty Bowman russian five days.

Brazil’s national uniform are cool too. Soccer mainly. And women beach volleyball.

Beach volleyball should be on constant reruns these days.

    Edit: 54-46 mentioned it.

Edit#2: And iceman a page earlier.

You know we have a mutual shit-talking respect so take the following in that regard:

Totally surprised that it took this long till Draymond got brought up. Dude thinks he’s better than Sir Drunkley and according to his own fans he’s the sole and only reason they lost the ‘16 championship, and not the other 3 games they lost.

Dolan. Yes. By far the worst of the Dolans. We have to deal with the cheaper, yet savvier Dolan in my Indians.

Fuck the Astros. And Verlander you dick.

    Hated?

Maradona - hand of god ass

NBC Olympics converge - enough with stories. Excited announcers screaming from a studio thousands miles away are cheesy too.

That predator that molested gymnasts for years and everyone who cover his shit.

Some previously hated figures gained my respect as got older. Spurs Popovic for example. Hating opponents is silly. Makes it harder to root for them when they join your team.

IMO Marchand is one of those fun guys to hate. Great player, plays like a rat, easy to hate when he's skating circles around your team.

Players like Laimbeer and Romanowski, giant gaping assholes.

I was digging some lists with Lambeer, Romanowski, I can see that, and remember hating those guys in a sports way, (like Delavedova and Beverly in basketball now), but then:
That predator that molested gymnasts for years and everyone who cover his shit.
It got kinda real, and then Paterno and Sandusky, and probably Chmura, and a shit ton of NFL wife beaters.
I don't want this to go there.
Well maybe I'm the faggot America

LaVar Ball, albeit not an athlete, in the game enough to be hate-able.

And Phillip Rivers - punchable face contender
