    2. Second, the part of the tire with the bunched up tube thumped along like a club foot. Thump thump thump thump all the way home.

Ha, I've had a similar thing happen when I last resort fixed a tube by cutting it at the hole and tied it in a knot, held air and 'thumped' at the knot. Skinny road tube on commuter bike, would be hard to do with something bigger.

It has "graphene" so it must be a bargain at any price.

Way back in the day my kid got a flat on a bike with 16" wheels, i forget the particulars but I pulled the tube out and stuffed the tire with grass & sod

I'm not gonna get those, but I get it. Starting in late July, Spiny Orb Weavers cover the trails with webs. I've had some bad days where I've hit over a dozen of them and have the little fuckers hanging of me and the bike. Thankfully, the runners are typically out earlier than I am doing some clearing with their faces.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

That thing's sexy as fuck, and the price is pretty comparable to other top of the line hardtails.

I personally don't have my check book out, but I don't really see the problem.

If that's the case, rock on I guess. I find the idea of a $10,000 hardtail pretty inexplicable in general.

Yeah Specialized S-Works with AXS is similarly priced. I'd rather buy a used car for that price, but the dentists out there gotta ride something I guess.
Can we talk about the existence of e-balance bikes?

I get that powerwheels have been a thing forever, but the last thing I need is my 3yo brapping along at 11 mph

Yeah, I mean, I'm generally opposed to the whole concept of someone timing me while riding uphill. But to each their own.

Cannondale's top of the line hardtail makes that yeti look like a bargain. And don't get me started on $20k+ road bikes.

6yo me would love that thing. Why do you hate fun?

But yeah - not buying one for my kid.

I mean, it's basically just an e-pit bike. Little kid sized dirt bikes with centrifugal clutches aren't anything new. Those "balance bikes" are functionally identical, just lighter and a bit slower.

Probably not a bad option if you want your kid to get comfy on dirt bikes.

I guess if you are buying it for your kid instead of a 50cc Moto as a step into dirt biking? Otherwise, they would be illegal on any non dirt bike trail as they don’t have pedals and have a throttle.

2.1 kg, you could put the FSA SuperLight headset bearings in that and reduce the weight by - 9.2 grams, 6 stem bolts replaced with alloy bolts -6.2g. Tune Würger Skyline seat post collar -23g.
Is it set up tubeless? Lightweight skewers? Bolts on the saddle clamp? Star nut or light weight compression plug? Carbon Top Cap with carbon bolt? Brass or aloe nipples?
I could make that thing almost $2000

I remember years ago the schwinn world cup mechanic made a custom kid sized straight eight. It had a scaled down boxxer and everything. It was more pimped out than some pro's bikes. Annoyingly, I can't seem to find a picture of.

Anyways, this seems pretty similar - some guy at specialized who's semi high up on the ladder wanted to make a sweet bike for his kid. And since that involved making a carbon mold, they said fuck it and did a production run.

I bet they sell out. If money was no worry for me, why not.
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
