Kid touring set up - snowblades, modified Eagles & skins
Looking to pass along this homemade touring set up I put together for my 5 year old. The skis are Rossignol Venture Free snowblades (maybe circa 99?) and modified Diamir Eagle frame bindings. The Eagles started life as a brand new pair of XLs that I had lying around. I cut the center bar and recreated the slot on the underside with a dremel tool. These were shortened enough to fit a Junior boot with a BSL of approx 245mm and have the ability to be lengthened the standard amount (didn't measure, but the new slot is the same length as the original). I also had to shorten the vertical bolt in the toe for the Junior boot toe welt. Please note, I did *no* formal testing of release pressure other than some bench testing to make sure there was enough pressure to hold the boot in the binding.
Come with orange BD Ascension skins (a single adult length skin cut in half).
Mission accomplished with these...no broken bones or torn ligaments and now he is 7 and asks me all the time to go ski touring on his tech set up.
Located in Portland, OR. Would consider shipping.
Let me know if anyone is interested. I can text a few more pics and some video's of them in use. Probably climbed around 500' over 2 ski seasons, but they served their purpose.

That is fabulous
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
Cletus: Duly noted.

I will happily get in line for these in case your first deal falls through. Our 4 year old would love to be able to keep up with her 6 and 8 year old siblings who can fit into Contour Startups. For now she just uses her nordic gear with homemade kicker skins on the way up but she would love a setup like this.

I think is really cool but cant justify the risk of putting my 5 y/o on a din of 5.
