I met one of the main guys for banshee 15 yrs ago at a demo so when he told me he was making them in Taiwan I asked why not Canada ?

he said in Taiwan is where the best bike frame welders in the world are, he can jump on a bike ride up the road to rent a factory, the best tubing manufacturer is a bike ride away , the componenet makers/distriubuters a bike ride away

and at the other end of the road ... is the beach

Taiwan came thru this pretty good compared to mainland China and I believe most of the factories are in Tiawan

That was mostly the case a decade ago, but Chinese manufacturing has come a long way. I remember reading a few years ago that the center of gravity has shifted.
