What's the best tool to threaten my neighbors into giving up the toilet paper they're hoarding?

    Asking for a friend.

PSA —- CDNN has a bunch of personal defense shotguns on sale. Most under $500. Weatherby’s under $300

There is so much I could say. Only useful advise, make sure you buy something with some flexibility for barrels and barrel lengths if you want to use it for different things in the future and never buy something that is limited in shell length. Also, 12ga.

Also, as far as stopping the TP thieves, probably better off not firing a gun and drawing attention. I am much better at 100 yards with my bow then I am with a pistol or shotgun. I am just here building a couple dozen extra arrows. 530g with a solid broadhead will mess people up and its virtually silent.

Didn't read the thread, so my apologies if the obvious has already been said, but just in case...the thing you need to know is that the end of the barrel is the dangerous end.

Buying a shotgun. What do I need to know?

For home defense just buy a cheap pump action. I’ve got a Stevens 320 that I paid $100 bucks for. Shoots fine and will definitely kill people that are entering your home. Go to a pawn shop to buy.

Cheap ammo and will last forever with the added benefit of clearing a room capabilities.
My 12ga side-by-side has a 14" barrel. Spread is 8' at 8'. If needed I could clear a room with two shots, drunk, sleepy or both. And if I use #4 there's only one layer of drywall to replace.

OP, If you are buying this for home defense, know that more people kill/maim their own family accidentally than ward off intruders

I have a few shotguns, several for hunting, several for tactical purposes. You need something simple, with an 18.5" barrel. Pump or semi auto. Keep it under $500. Order of choice, Benelli Nova, Remington 870, Mossberg 500.

Semi Auto's are a little more pricey. Again, order of preference, Benelli, Remington Mossberg. Probably in the $1,000 range, give or take.

If you want something in a smaller package, consider the Remington Tac-14 or the Mossberg Shockwave. You can get these in 12 or 20. I have the Remington Tac 14 in 20 gauge that is pretty neat. Add Aguilla short shot-shells for more capacity.

My suggestion would be in this order.
So, how well do those Aguilla shellls work? Ive been meaning to try them for years and never got around to it.

Where is the best place for me to learn a bit about the shotguns we have? Ammo size, operation and cleaning, etc. I think I need to do this before things get fully locked down and I can't go get ammo.
