I think the movie mostly is of it's Hollywood era and added roma tic entanglement which the book hardly mentioned other in its absence.

His books are incredible. Ever read A Town Called Alice or Trustee From The Tool Room?

They're surprisingly difficult to get hold of now. Found my Dad some newer copies of old favorites in a used book store in Pike Place last year.

I did read A Town Like Alice, pretty sure that's the only other one of his books I've read.

I love the whole sequence in the book (On the Beach) about the sub crossing over to the United States to try to find out whose been sending the morse code radio transmissions.

Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.

    Very good movie.

I watched Snowpiercer last night, it’s a really cool concept. Enjoyed it a lot.

there's that one where Christopher Walken builds the fallout shelter and thinks it's the nuclear apocalypse when it's not - locks his family inside for like 30 years.
