5.7 out of Magna. In Sugarhouse it was pretty wild, could see things moving.

Felt here in Park city. Definitely stronger then any wind gust.

Was on the 4th floor up by the U. Calmly told my coworkers "the world is ending." Hope my dogs are doing ok.

Felt it in Logan. It was strong enough to wake up my wife and daughter.

I'm just up the hill from you on the 1st floor with two floors above me.
I was changing out of my scrubs in the locker room headed out to the car to eat my breakfast sammy in the car when it hit.
I was literally on one foot trying to get my other foot in my jeans.
And almost fell over.
Our whole fun factory evacuated.
It was a cold 20 minutes in the parking lot without pants ;^)
Just kidding I got em on and kept 6 people warm in the shaggen wagon

15-20 seconds of pretty solid shaking in Sandy. Nothing fell over or off a shelf and pictures on the walls still look level, but that was just below the threshold to create real damage. Friends farther east posted photos of cracks in their street. We felt the 4.4 aftershock, too.
That's really about the perfect size earthquake, though. Not big enough to cause real damage, but big enough to relieve a lot of strain on the fault and make a >6 a lot less likely. Remember, earthquake magnitudes are log scale, a 6-6.5 is way more powerful than a 5.7. Only problem here is that it wasn't the Wasatch fault, which is the bigger, scarier one.Last edited by Dantheman; 03-18-2020 at 09:13 AM.

Do y'all think I should be worried about plumbing leaks in my 1953 house in Sandy? I don't want to drive all the way home as we are super backed up at work but I'm a little nervous.

Glad to hear it was comparatively mild — don’t need compounding disasters at this point

KSL has video of flooding in the airport from broken pipes. I'm actually kinda surprised, I figured their water system was designed to withstand something more severe.
