I have made the same decision, if it will have me. BTW I like your taste in music based on the stuff you've posted.

Keith Richards has survived against overwhelming odds. It could only be the tele. Great choice

All you need to do is stretch it out 45 more seconds and you can play this!

Gatton is kind of an unsung God.
He has made some otherwise terrible songs fantastic.

No need for a shovel if you have a tele.

So, here is proof that Fender has been reading my TGR posts.

Circling back to this because I'm bored, but who said Telecaster? is actually a thing.

I spent much of my underemployed twenties playing in bar bands. One of my day jobs was working in a small/independent guitar store. We didn't carry any lines of new electrics, only used 'workman/gigging' guitars and vintage. One rainy day when there weren't any customers, my friend/coworker picks up this really nice early 60s tele that we had on the wall and ponders, "why is Telecaster in quotations?" I'm like, wut? He continues, "how have we been looking at these things for so many years and not seen that?" I look at a run of the mill 90s American Strat on the wall, no quotes. Only teles had them.

I suppose one of the reasons we never noticed was because neither of us could afford a real 50s or 60s tele, and they changed the decal around '68 to a different font, and omitted the quotes. Here's my '73

70s teles were relatively cheap in the 90s so there were way more of them on small stages, but still, everyone had at least seen an early tele. It's like a magic eye pic. You don't see it until you do. Then you always do.
