GD blue bird day... most annoying mountain expressions...

Feeling triggered... For some reason I cant take it when someone uses the expression bluebird day, especially repetitively every chance they get to describe a nice day... Im not sure why but every time I hear someone say bluebird day I get a little bit closer to diagnosable, just say is was beautiful, or nice or great wtf does bluebird even mean?!?!? We aint even got no GD blue birds! Close second, mank....

What do you got? What cliche mountain expressions have I been using that are secretly driving you nuts? Let it out, its time to vent!

Fine work keeping the stoke alive, all 8 posts.

Having to read your rant is what drives me nuts. FFS, just get out and ski, no one cares if you have mental issues about calling it "BLUEBIRD" day or how about "GREYBIRD" or Storm skiing.

You sound like an angry skier, what do you care what other people call a day, if they are enjoying it why do you care?

I'm annoyed by people saying they rescued dogs. From where, a burning building?

As for skiing, all stoke words are in play regardless of how silly. Why be triggered when you can just laugh.

If I get a chance tomorrow, I'm going to ask someone "which bird would you use to describe the sky today?"

Add "zone" to this list. Hearing people talk about "missions" to "zones" is tough to listen to.

when you come up from being absolutely pitted and snow is plastered all over you and you scream "Bukkake!" while under the lift... oh wait that's my favorite expression.
    now a complete tool

    From Urban dictionary:
Blue Bird Day - An expression often used by out-of-date ski bums and boarders describing an otherwise beautiful, blue and sunny day. The expression is entirely unrelated to spring or to bluebirds.

    Livin' the dream.

Annoying answer you get from most around here when you inquire about how their day is going.
It's a played-out cliche and next employee who says it to me will be promptly terminated with extreme prejudice.

Always used to describe at best a mediocre run. Also, rip, crush, slay.
Unless you're Bimboes on the Bec you're not shredding anything, you're awkwardly picking your way down. This is skiing, not going to fucking war.

When the day trip gets long enough I upgrade to "death march", usually prefixed with the name of the partner who came up with it. Can't use the word mission in UT without a dozen LDS peeps appearing out of thin air to tell you stories of that one time they were allowed to leave the state so they could go be Mos somewhere else.

    Bluebird, bluebird, bluebird.
Nothing better then a bluebird day.
    Everybody loves them.
Nobody likes 'manky' snow. Well, maybe boarders don't mind it so much.
As for 'storm Skiing, only thing better then a 'bluebird day'

Hope you have a nice one yourself.
