so skimo is going to carry atk, since bd is now distributor for atk in the US. Is bd going to continue to sell their own re-branded atk on top of the “original” atk range? thats a lot of bindings

Agreed on that being a whole lotta bindings:
    https://www.blackdiamondequipment.co...p/at-bindings/

However, I haven't seen any indication yet that BD will become the ATK distributor.

This past season, ATK was already being sold directly in the U.S. by this small regional (yet high-quality) specialty shop:
    https://skithewhites.com/collections/atk-bindings

I was very surprised by such a development, since I had been told years ago Giovanni wanted nothing to do with North American direct sales under his own brand.
(A competitor also emailed me way back in 2011 that, "For the record, ATK is currently suing Crazy Idea. Giovanni has such a short temper!!! I don't know the reasons/details though. Who's next??")

Hence all the ATK rebranding here over the years by, let's see, La Sportiva, Fischer, Movement, Hagan, BD -- am I missing anyone?

But perhaps the next generation of the ATK ownership family is tempted enough by the size of the rapidly expanding North American market to overcome any concerns about liability, service, etc.?

our series sponsor @blackdiamond_snow is proud to announce that it is launching North American distribution of @atk_bindings . Yep, the bindings that you see on many of the world cup athletes will be here in 2021!

So that's a cumulative tally of seven different rebranding partners over recent years!

But with all due respect to my Wasatch skimo race organizer equivalents, I can't find any announcement from either BD or ATK that the former will henceforth serve as the distributor for the latter, as opposed to yet another retailer, of which I now realize our New England retailer was joined by another two this past season:

BD is 100% distributing ATK in the USA for 21/22 and will still offer their own variations of ATK bindings under the Helio name.

^ So those three shops selling ATK-branded ATK bindings will have to go through BD, with warranty support provided by BD? Whereas the three non-BD ATK rebranded lines (Hagan, Moment, Majesty) will continue to deal directly with ATK?
(Perhaps such a potentially confusing situation goes along nicely with the confusing ATK model line-up?)

Can't speak for anyone else regarding warranty and distro specifics.

    I own Moment.

We are still working directly with ATK offering modified FR series bindings.

I was able to get warranty support from Hagan this year, happy to not have to deal with Europe directly.

I would trust Utah Skimo with their industry info, its run by the Skimo Co manager

^ Wow, with a new ATK distributor and multiple rebrandings, all combined with a complicated mix & match model line-up, this thread should be even more fascinating for next season!

Now, more the ever, the best strategy is to just pick the red one.

Our current stock of ATK bindings came through BD, but they seem a bit uncertain of how they should promote the brand in the US (similar to Pieps). The 21-22 dealer catalog shows only Helio-branded bindings (but all the Pieps products), and the website shows the Helio lineup plus the Crest 10.

So to add to the confusion, ATK will now have a Kuluar model, and DPS will rebrand ATK bindings:

Here's the kuluar binding. Not quite sure where this fits in, in their product line

there's a video on their main page

    Official ATK Binding Thread

Kuluar looks money! Looks to be a replacement for the Crest 10/12 as it does everything the Crest does but lighter.

Brakeless version with 12 release is 200g. Definitely giving them a hard look for my next pair.
