i'm not sure why you're stating this when pegleg wrote about mitigating a potential 8-10M deaths down to 1M by proper management...you did read that, right?

no doubt, i was surprised to hear such large figures thrown out (and I do understand this pandemic is only just expanding worldwide, so it hasn't peaked yet)

you've made an assumption that i'm trying to contradict someone, or maybe you like provoking arguing for some reason?

the number didn't come from thin air...someone brought it up, with a current context where case numbers are in the low 6 figures, much less death figures

cart-before-horse came to mind given the stark differential in scale -- i'm not pretending to be an authority, just surprised, as I said above

The facts are that it is set to exponentially accelerate and that infection is over six figures.

Conjecture is that the muthafucka gonna exploderate to much more massive numbers..

    So....what to do?

Did my typical bi-weekly run to Costco this afternoon. People lined up to buy packs of bottles of water. no TP in stock and everyone had paper towels in their carts. Have never seen the upper shelves so empty. I'm thinking the people hoarding water are those that don't drink tap, no idea why people are stockpiling toilet paper and now paper towels. Everything I needed was in stock.

I don’t agree with this meme. Socks are super soft cotton, feels great to wipe with.

Is shaming hoarders in Costco socially acceptable or is that just asking for egg on your face in the event we are in fact in the waning days of freely available toilet paper?

So... I’m officially out of N95s at work with no word from suppliers.

So I guess it’s more important for some morons to incorrectly wear them while a JCPenny than for my guys to protect themselves from silicosis.
