That’s what I’ve done in the past, but the forest behind my house is now growing McMansions.

Earwigs are bad here, too. Fuckers are good at hiding.

ahem...... you can't call them Walla Walla sweets unless they are grown in Walla Walla.

Here are some onions in my field - harvest is in full swing here in the valley:

Lots of really nice gardens in here. I really want that blueberry!

Isn’t it the same with Vidalias? Something about the soil that makes them sweet and can’t be replicated elsewhere.

Not from my garden, but picked from some scrub near the house.

It's a sand that hardens when wetted, keeps the weeds out and no more sand transport everywhere. Dig out a bit of your sand between the joints, use a trowel to fill the joints with the polymeric sand and then clean any of the excess off your stones. It'll leave a haze on your stone if you don't clean it off before wetting. I found my hose end set on the mister works best, if you pour or use the shower setting it'll just push the sand out of the joint while wetting. The mister works great. After wetting it sets up like cement.

BobMc I've been putting off using this sand in a flagstone section at the side of my house due to the possible haze. The flagstone there is particularly weathered and not smooth at all so I've been worried it would be hard to clean the sand off completely before wetting. When you say clean it off is it basically just sweeping the bits on top of the stone away?

Wondering the same....sounds good for what I’m doing...but how are you getting it in all the joints? Dump/sweep in...like the old sand method? (as in Lowe’s description)

Yours looks awesome....so however u applied yours...I’m willing to try.

Yeah, pretty much just be sure to brush away any excess sand before wetting. I did it in small sections and wiped off all the stone with a rag before wetting. I used a small garden trowel to put it in the joints, a spoon would work for smaller joints. It's kinda tedious doing it that way but it worked well for me.

The mister setting on your hose end is important, I tried a couple ways to wet it that didn't work very well until I used the mister setting. You just want to get it wet, not move it around.

FTR, it's not like concrete, it's not permanent. So don't worry if a bit gets on your flagstone, you can get it off.

I'm so bummed.. the wind from this little tropical storm moving through flattened all of my corn, broke off at least 3 tomato plants at the base and knocked over all the lettuce I hadn't pulled yet. I hope daylight doesn't reveal anything else.

Not too many homeless folks have a muffin top. It takes a decided effort into consuming calories.

I’m 5’9”, helps to grab those higher up tomatoes. If Phunk were gardening he’d be phunked.

Harvested beets today - time to make borscht!!

Our tomatoes are a little hit or miss, but this one plant (the yellow taxi) is the garden's overachiever.

Circular crack, might be too much water, causing fast growth
