^^^ Noice! Nothing like pulling a whole dinner from the garden. We've been having veggie kabobs 3x a week lately and ratatouille the rest of the time to nuke the excess eggplant and zucchini. Fortunately this year the chickens have been helping with the large zuccs that I used to eat myself.
This morning's tomato haul (and one lonely French cuc), plucking only the rippest ones that would fall off otherwise:

Our puny and retarded garden is finally starting to go. Peas are maturing, basil is close to being harvested, tomatoes are flowering at least, onions going great guns and nasturtiums junglefying it up.

Holy shit man. Didn’t you just build those planters?
I’m guessing you live East of the pass.

Well we're movin' on up (movin on up)
To the east side (movin on up)
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin' on up (movin on up)
To the east side (movin on up)
We finally got a piece of the pie.
Fish don't fry in the kitchen;
Beans don't burn on the grill.
Took a whole lotta tryin'
Just to get up that hill.
Now we're up in the big leagues
Gettin' our turn at bat.
As long as we live, it's you and me baby
There ain't nothin wrong with that.
Well we're movin' on up (movin on up)
To the east side (movin on up)
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin' on up (movin on up)
To the east side (movin on up)
We finally got a piece of the pie.

Been trying to get my plot looking like Muted’s, ordered a shed from Amazon and spent the weekend before last cursing while spending six hours assembling it.
Made a pad to set it on, had just enough pavers left from previous garden paths to make it.
Looks pretty decent and holds our meager assortment of garden goods.
Went camping this weekend, had grabbed everything close prior to leaving. Got home to a plethora of vegetables.
Dug up 1/3 of my potatoes, got 18 pounds of russets with a couple purple mixed in.
My unorthodox planters are all doing well...

My tomato plants are growing like crazy this year, but only just harvested my first cherry tomato yesterday. Seattle is pretty marginal for tomatoes. Just not hot enough. It seems like there have been several years where I've got lots of tomatoes starting to get ripe and then the weather turns cool and wet and they just never quite make it to fully ripe.
Had a pretty good blueberry crop, but the birds got most of them. We've also had a few cukes so far and more on the way.

Greater Toronto area - tomatoes have been green for over a month and just in the last week are finally ripening.

Dang!
Only getting a handful of tomatoes so far daily, but that's all I need to eat daily. Pulled 5 ears of corn last night, gonna eat them in 2 hours.
I still can't find Shishito peppers in the grocery store, anyone found any in SLC? I bought mini bell peppers instead and been pickling them or stuffing them with jalapeno spread + Panko, then baking and doing a quick broil to crisp the panko. pretty addictive.

I love living in wyoming but after growing up in the lushest farmland of VT this place is arid and cold AF in regards to garden yields.skid luxury

Our corn isn't doing too well. First year planting it, the spot is probably not ideal and we might not have enough plants for good pollination. I gotta ask the neighbor to talk to her bees, they're obsessed with the zucchini plants but not much else.
If you sneak into your yard you can probably get a couple lbs of shishitos and we wouldn't notice they're gone, the plants are small but one of them flopped over from the weight of the peppers. Most productive pepper variety I've grown in UT by far!

I get them very reliably here but I'm in Connecticut not too far from New York city so our markets are different than around Salt Lake City.
Anyhow. Otherwise, take some jalapenos. Split them open. Derive desired or not depending on how spicy you like things. Pack them with chunky peanut butter. Roast. Eat. Enjoy. Yes it sounds weird but it's f****** amazing.
I have tried growing shishitos several times now with no success.Florence Nightingale's Stormtrooper

Good to know, thanks. I plan on baking them pretty quickly though.
Living in Bozeman for a long time was frustrating. Right when the tomatoes finally riped it was fall and they all froze. I lived in Jackson one year, I will say it's even harder there. Higher up, colder, and the sun sets way early behind the Tetons.
Is it doing fine but really small? I'm learning that ours will look nothing like the massively genetically modified corn at the store. Yours might have a couple ready. Some of ours needs more time, some were small but tasty tonight. As for peppers, is your new motion light extended to the back yard? I don't want a shovel to the head from you at 3am.
I hate peanut butter more than any food on earth. And I want to try shishitos after hearing they are good from Bossy and they can be grown easily.

Hey Boissal, your corn doesn't use bees to pollinate. Just the wind. Clip the tops of the stalks off and shake them over the tassels of the ears, and viola! fertilized ears.
