That's been the program for a decade now (I'm 31). Seems to be working OK thus far. At this point the plan is to transition away from inhaled THC (smoke or vape) except for the occasional toke(once a week or less) by the time I'm 35. Having good aerobic capacity means more to me than burning a doobie a couple times a day, and I know the timeline for being able to do both at the same time is limited.
A gram a day keeps the doctor away.

Addiction is addiction. For the person addicted, I vote the mj is easier on both the body and society.
For being around the the poor soul, tokers tend to be more self-righteous if they can move at all, while the drinkers are a mix between a good time and a bad trip. Over the years past living in the kootenays during the outdoor/indoor mj scene heydays, I'll take the drunk as someone to hang with. The exception is the guy that is high on both - but then I am usually that guy

Quit drinking a year ago. Still love weed. Easy to live without alcohol. I can’t see myself quitting weed, like ever.

Everything in moderation. I haven’t ever met anybody who will defend drinking to excess every day the way some dudes advocate for the wake n bake high all day lifestyle though. Whatever you do, a little in the evening, under control, is the way to go.
I think the idea that booze will just blow up your life is a little bit off though. There are tons of people walking around every day with a low level buzz. The most eye opening thing when I first got into the Booze- selling business was the size of the market for sub- 750 ml bottles. Mail carriers, maintenance men, supers, office workers, garbage collectors and all manner of people were in the store on a daily basis, grabbing concealable serving size bottles. Some guys would buy a 200 ml mid morning and another one late afternoon. I’m not defending it by any means, just reporting what I’ve seen.
